For a whole decade, we’ve been bringing gin lovers together for fabulous gin, great company and unforgettable weekends on the lawn at the beautiful Ilam Homestead.

This year, we’re celebrating in style, so dress for a garden party and raise a glass with us as we toast 10 wonderful years of Gindulgence!

Here’s to the memories, the moments and the magic of the past 10 years....

And, of course, to the next decade of Gin-on-the-Lawn.

What To Expect

As always, you're free to explore 90+ gins and spirits from an impressive line-up of New Zealand distillers, with an international gem or two in the mix.

Your ticket includes samples from all distillers giving you the chance to continue to taste, compare and discover new favourites all afternoon.

Grab a signature drink or refreshing G&T from your next new favourite spirit, settle in on the lawn with friends, or simply soak up the atmosphere.

Bottles will be available for purchase so you can take home a bottle or two at the end of the day.

A great range of local food vendors will be on site to keep you well fed.

We're grateful for the continued support of local legal experts, Malley & Co. The Malley & Co Gin Theatre will be in action again this year with presentations from a selection of passionate distillers.

Join Julien for four generations of French flair! Celebrate their New Gin on the Block - Founders Classic Gin, a French legacy distilled in Dunedin. While you’re there, sample their Limoncello and a celebratory special edition - Lime-cello.

Blush Merchants

Blush Gin and Russell Rum are handcrafted in New Zealand, combining vibrant ingredients with playful, artisanal flair. Blush Gin offers floral, fruity elegance, while Russell Rum brings crisp, spiced coastal character. Alchemist Mixology

The word Alchemist has a rich history tied to many early Greek scholars. The early Alchemist were able to create gold from anything. The word Alchemist has since then formed into a person who creates something through a seemingly magical process. We do this in the way of creating our own liquid gold in the form of a cocktail.

Humdinger Gin

Humdinger Gin makes every moment a little more special. Crafted with care in Geraldine, it proves that small-batch can deliver big character. Using only natural botanicals, it offers honest, memorable flavour in every pour—a true humdinger worth savouring.

Imagination Distilling

Our distillery is nestled in the bush, down a gravel drive, off a single lane road, in the Reikorangi Valley, Kapiti Coast, Aotearoa New Zealand. It's the place where New Zealand's trail-blazing craft brewery, Tuatara, was born and so there's a real sense of 'something in the air' around the place. Spiritual even.

Strange Nature Gin

Nestled in Otorohanga, Pungent Pukeko Distillery crafts award-winning gin using botanicals mostly grown on their lifestyle block. Named after the native birds roaming their property, this small operation has earned serious recognition since launching.

Spicy Boys

Wrap your lips around the Stiff Pickle: Chili Gin & Pickle Juice topped up with soda. This is the first festival for SpicyBoys' new Chili Gin. Luckily for you, the Bones boys are bringing the juice.

Gindulgence aims to promote responsible drinking to create a festival environment that everyone can enjoy. Plenty of food, tonics and other non-alcoholic beverages will be available. Please don't drink and drive, there are public transport options near our events and taxis or Uber are just a phone call or tap away.

The Gindulgence team will happily assist with phone numbers for safe transport options and information whenever needed.
