5 Mile Distilling is Taupō’s first commercial distillery. Founded in 2022, they’ve quickly gained acclaim earning 22 medals for their spirits, including a trophy for their Original Gin in 2022 and Gold Medals for their Navy and Forest Gins in 2025. Driven by a commitment to community and sustainability, their purpose is helping Taupō prosper.
